Meet Our Team

Tom Flinn brings a strong financial and managerial background to Flinn Aviation. Prior to aviation consulting, Tom founded and managed a successful residential mortgage company for eight years. He then sold the firm to begin his aircraft sales career. Tom attended Texas A&M University receiving a B.S. in 1985 and an M.B.A. in Finance in 1991. Tom is a Commercial pilot with experience in dozens of types of aircraft, including co-piloting a DC-3, making night-time freight runs throughout the U.S. and Central America. Tom’s expertise in the firm includes but is not limited to, contract oversight and negotiations, as well as being well versed in the Cape Town International Registry Requirements, and 1031 exchanges. In addition to his business pursuits, Tom has donated his time to mentoring at the local high school and leading a Boy Scout Troop.

Mitch Flinn grew up in Georgetown, Texas surrounded by a family of aviation professionals. After graduating from Texas A&M with a Business Degree in 2016, Mitch spent the next 6 years running a Yacht Brokerage company successfully completing yacht transactions ranging in size from 40’ to over 100’. Today, Mitch has transitioned his sales expertise into fixed wing aircraft with the family business bringing an energetic and professional sales approach to all of our clients!

Alena is married to Tom Flinn and works in the business as the Marketing Coordinator. Alena is a certified corporate flight attendant and former small business owner with multiple locations, and now creates and manages the company’s marketing material and advertising. She does volunteer work at the hospital and is an accomplished artist with a non-profit organization to provide faith and positivity themed murals in hospital waiting rooms. Alena also creates custom aircraft, yacht, and sports car paintings. 

Although Mitch is just starting his aviation career, he comes to Flinn Aviation from a family with a long tradition in corporate aviation. With a degree from Fitchburg State University, he is now coordinating our Market Research and Aircraft Acquisitions.

Pete began his aviation career as a corporate pilot in 2007, gathering over 3,000 hours of flight time in a variety of corporate aircraft. He joined the Flinn Aviation team in 2013 and is now a Fixed Wing Salesman specializing in turboprops and light to mid-size jets. He attended Texas A&M university and lives in Austin, TX. 

Zhanna is an organized and efficient manager with more than 15 years proven knowledge in operations management, operating policies, and procedures. She has a very motivated outgoing personality to include a warm pleasant demeanor, especially when faced with adversity. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Russian and holds a degree in accounting from the College of Commerce and Economics. 

Edgar Yanez, a distinguished aviation professional, embarked on his journey by graduating as an officer from the Venezuelan Air Force Academy in 1990. With an impressive record of over 1500 hours as a Fighter Pilot, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His diverse career then led him to Santa Barbara Airline, where he piloted the ATR-42, and later, Estelar Airlines' Boeing 737. Transitioning to Corporate Aviation, Edgar accumulated over 1000 hours across the entire LearJet Series, eventually establishing his Part 135 on-demand line featuring Lear 60 and Lear 45 aircraft. Relocating to the United States, he piloted the EMB-145 for Ultimate Jet Charters under FAR PART 135 regulations and later took command of the Falcon 50EX under FAR PART 91. Presently, Edgar pilots the Hawker 800/860XP and contributes to the sales team at the esteemed FLINN AVIATION, showcasing his extensive expertise in the aviation industry.

Tseko, who has dedicated his career to aviation since 2007, attended helicopter flight school in Ellington Connecticut while traveling on his days off every week for two years to become a commercial helicopter pilot, all while serving as a full-time law enforcement officer.  Tseko stated his own helicopter tour company in upstate New York.  Tseko’s nationality is Bulgarian, has a very kind personality and loves flying which was his all-time dream since he was 5 years old.

Paul has been in the aviation industry since 1974 having soloed at the age of 16. He began his flying career as a banner towing pilot at the age of 18. Since those early days he has flown numerous types of aircraft from piston singles to Learjets and Gulfstreams, logging over 17,000 hours in the air. His career path led him to corporate aviation where he spent 36 years as a pilot and manager for a Fortune 500 company. In this capacity, he managed a fleet of 3 Challenger 350’s and one Gulfstream 550 along with a team of 34 dedicated associates. Paul resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL with his wife Cheri.

Nicholas Zahn, a dedicated aviation professional, earned his Bachelor of Science in Aviation-Professional Pilot from the University of Oklahoma in May 2021. He's a Flight Instructor since July 2020, an ATP-certified pilot with a B-737 Type rating since April 2022. Nicholas served as President of the Sooner Aviation Club and excelled in NIFA flight competitions. Committed to community service, he was a Children's Youth Leader and engaged in a mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico during his college years. Currently, Nicholas is a Boeing 737 First Officer with Southwest Airlines in Dallas, TX. He is very excited to be a part of the Flinn Aviation team.
