Thomas H. Flinn
Tom Flinn brings a strong financial and managerial background to Flinn Aviation. Prior to aviation consulting, Tom founded and managed a successful residential mortgage company for eight years. He then sold the firm to begin his aircraft sales career. Tom attended Texas A&M University receiving a B.S. in 1985 and an M.B.A. in Finance in 1991. Tom is a Commercial pilot with experience in dozens of types of aircraft, including co-piloting a DC-3, making night-time freight runs throughout the U.S. and Central America. Tom’s expertise in the firm includes but is not limited to, contract oversight and negotiations, as well as being well versed in the Cape Town International Registry Requirements, and 1031 exchanges. In addition to his business pursuits, Tom has donated his time to mentoring at the local high school and leading a Boy Scout Troop.
Joel De La Garza
Graduating with a Marketing Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993, Joel proceeded to obtain his commercial helicopter rating at Helicopters International in Houston, Texas. He then was hired as a helicopter pilot by Mexican conglomerate PROTEXA to fly Eurocopter AS365N2 Dauphins in the Bay of Campeche on a PEMEX contract. Deciding to pursue a specialization in aircraft acquisitions and sales management at the Master’s level, he entered Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he received his MBA in Aviation Management in 2000. After interning as a Market Analyst with Austin Jet International, he joined Trinity Aviation in 2001 as Marketing and Aircraft Sales Director. After holding this position for nearly seven years, Joel joined Flinn Aviation as the Helicopter Sales Consultant. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Joel is an integral asset to the firm primarily in dealing with the company’s Latin American clientèle. Joel is married to Priscilla and both currently live in Austin, Texas.
After a 7 year enlistment as a Combat Medic in the US Army and Texas National Guard, Bryan managed multiple national chain restaurants. He spent 6 years as a manager for Outback Steakhouse and 6 years with P.F. Chang’s. He trained 1000’s of employee’s in every role of the restaurant industry. His next career path was in the Mortgage industry as a Loan Officer working for Supreme Lending in Austin. Supreme Lending’s niche was exceeding the status quo in the industry with personalized service. Bryan was a Gulfstream analyst and researcher for Tom Flinn for a short period of time before his transition into private asset acquisitions in precious metals at the US Money Reserve. Bryan worked directly under the president of the company, the 35th Mint Director and former Secretary of the Department of the US Treasury, Philip N. Diehl. He managed clientele portfolios that had over $250 million protected with the firm. He is a husband and a father of two. Service, commitment, aptitude, and loyalty are the best way to describe Bryan’s dedication to his clients.
